For some dogs, their lives are a story waiting to be told. For others, a picture is worth a thousand words. This page is for all of them.

Second Chance Granted!

Back at the rescue...

Today was Chance's first hydro-therapy class and Dane was excited to go and watch Chance swimming with a doggy life-jacket on. When we got back home the sun was shining and I thought that Chance might like to lay outside and get some fresh air for awhile.  Dane decided that he needed a great big hug for doing such a "stand up" job at his swimming lesson. :) This boy will succeed me and I would be proud to have him run the reins when I no longer am able.  The other picture is Dane's efforts in rebuilding our fencing that needed to be fixed for us to do our "DOG" thing.   Dane is confused with BOTH metric and imperial measurements still but is slowly learning. I see the same dog loving "glint" in your eye that my daddy saw in mine. :)

Introducing Chance after his surgery.  He is reluctantly a bit naked :)   This was day 2 after his first TPLO surgery. He got lots of tender touches from Dane, the youngest member of the 'Cold Noses, Warm Beds' Dog Rescue team. He is paid in McDonald's french fries and slobbery kisses.

Above is Chance laying on Dane who is 3 and sleeping. :) Laying next to Chance's left is a 5 month old german shep/malinois cross pup named Chloe who is also a rescue dog. Chloe was rescued off of a 'red-list' in California. She is loving being out of a shelter. If if Chloe was still in the shelter in California, she would have been euthanized the next day, and she is only a baby. In the other picture, Dane wanted to sit in the car while we were working outside. Roscoe (foster dog) decided that he wanted to play in the car with Dane. Roscoe is an 8 month old pup. :) Roscie fell asleep on the seat beside Dane and its a gorgeous example of kids and dogs co-existing.
